Sorry the issue is still ongoing. I have tried to connect several times today with no success. Gameservers staff reported as a "malicious attack" which had supposedly ceased:
Thank you for your patience regarding this issue. It appears that yesterday your server was the target of a malicious attack. This is the reason your server became inaccessible. The attack has since been mitigated. Are you still experiencing issues at this time?

someone could target a specific ip. I have seen that happened in the past. the note they send you said the (The attack has since been mitigated)
I tried getting on the server 08.18.19 at 1 am central time. it took a while I was able to get on but my ping was over 200.
sounds like the problem still exist to the point where we still have high ping. sounds like they still need to fix something on their end. I will try again when I wake up and give an update.

Agreed. Their reply was at 1:06p PST. After testing server connectivity for myself, I responded at 4:36p and indicated problems still persisted and asked what was being done to remedy the situation. Gameservers has yet to answer back.
Unfortunately the responsiveness of their ticketing/support system is not predictable. Stay tuned...
