Didn't know where to post this so since I was kicked for it I'll post here. First and foremost this is written out of respect and I am not attempting to "argue", I feel that comment is necessary because online conversations are easily interpreted as arguments. Anyways, I was kicked by "itsme" for "wallbanging". Couldn't find this rule written anywhere and didn't ever appear to be a problem before. A rule such as this completely changes game mechanics and strategies. I use "Wall Banging" to counter attack campers, clear my running path and to "get lucky" which usually take a couple of magazines to do and the use of a UAV (I mentioned the "get lucky" strategy in my ban appeal and was never informed that this wasn't allowed). I was told to not shoot through walls and I tried my best because it is nearly second nature to me and I still don't believe I did. I asked for clarification on shooting through walls "If I see someone run behind a wall can I shoot them?". Immediately after I was kicked. I was immediately able to rejoin. This brought up players accusing me of shooting through walls just to get me kicked. Once I find the demo I will post it but I assure you I was not "Wall Banging" (or didn't realize I was). During this debate Rudy said Wallbanging was allowed however itsme and painkilla don't think it is. I was told to bring this to the forum. I have to ask.....is wallbanging allowed? To answer your questions, stg: Yes, we do allow wallbanging in the ways you have described. What we do not allow is *excessive* wallbanging, which is where someone will just stand behind a wall and constantly shoot through it, whether or not they know if an enemy is there. We see this in an extreme degree on Bog, where people pick an LMG and just constantly saw through the walls and fences. This certainly ruins the game for most people. Excessive wallbanging does come in various degrees - the type we see on Bog is the most extreme. Usually it's a judgement from the side of the admin. But if you were indeed shooting at people you knew were there (campers, seeing someone running into a building), then there is no problem with what you've done, and the kick has simply been due to a misunderstanding.
