Well if you see a small, odd shaped, steel rhomboid on four wheels travelling on asphalt there's a good chance it's a car. If it's a huge 60 foot tall cube with four legs traveling on snow & ice, that would be an imperial walker. If it's invisible, it's likely a boat.
